Are You Being Seduced?

That’s right… are you being seduced? (Insert Barry White playing in the background) Are you being seduced by that hot, sexy, hard to get but must have… err… thing? That’s right, thing! I’m not talking about a super model, or a person at all! In fact I’m talking about two little words that are causing more people pain and anguish than a bad relationship could ever cause. What two little, dirty, painful, seductive words are they? Right Now!

These two words by themselves are so simple, with really no meaning at all other than right in this moment. Actually these two words when used properly can be very powerful. As in we live in the moment, right here, right now. But that is not what I’m talking about here. That is not the seduction that is happening on a regular basis each and every day by these two words.

No what is happening every single day to thousands of people all over the world is that right now is seducing them to think that they can have it right now. What you ask? Whatever they want is what they are being told. They can have it ALL right now! Simple and easy and with a push of a button, or a flip of a switch, or a… and the list goes on and on and on.

It is true that you can have whatever you want. There is no doubting that. That has been proven time and time again. Where the seducing, or let’s put it more bluntly, the lie begins is that you can have it right now. You don’t have to do anything, yet you can have it right now. For people who are desperate to change what they have, to change their results, they are easily convinced that it is possible; that they can have it all that easily.

It’s not just a few people either that believe this, it’s a whole generation of people. Now, now, now, now! I want it now and I don’t want to do anything for it. They see the results that successful people are having, and they want the same. They want the same without having to pay the price. This just isn’t possible!

Now I don’t want this to sound like it’s impossible for you to get what you are searching for, for what you want out of your life. No, all I am saying is that there will have to be some action, some work on your part. The question becomes what type of work and for how long will you have to continue that work to achieve your goal.

With the way in which everything is moving at the speed of thought these days, it is no wonder that people expect that they can have what they want in an instant. That’s the way everything else is so why not achieving goals too? Let’s put it a different way. When our society’s main industry was agriculture, we instinctively knew that in the spring we planted the seeds, through the summer we maintained the fields and plants with water, and then in then if all was done correctly, we would be able to enjoy a large harvest in the fall.

When put in that context it seems very simple to go from planting seeds, to nurturing the soil and plants, to then reaping the rewards of a large harvest. For anyone that has worked on a farm, you know that this is not the case and that there are many days of hard labor involved to ensure a good harvest. Labor that goes unnoticed to most, for all that is seen is the finished product of the produce. To take that one step further, I’m sure you think it’s possible to plant the seeds in the ground on Monday, then on Friday of that week going out and harvest a full crop of produce right? That’s crazy I know… but that’s exactly what you are expecting when you get seduced by right now!

You are saying that you can start a business on Monday, and with the right now thinking, by Friday of that same week you should be turning a profit! By the end of the second month… you should be on easy street! Think it doesn’t happen? Think again and when you do be honest with yourself.

You have to do the required work, to develop the skills and to grow individually to ensure that you are successful. For many people they are unsure of how to accomplish this and they simply bounce from one “right now” promise to another “right now” promise. While they should instead be looking for a support team to nurture them so that they can grow into the successful person they know that they can be!

It will not happen overnight. Think of yourself as that seed that is planted, then from a good support team and your consistency of nurturing and growing, when it comes time to harvest there will be no stopping you and what you can achieve!.
